That's what Zwakala means. And it's pretty much how we do things around here.

Tucked away in the mountains of Magoebaskloof, we're an independent, proudly South African brewery built on good beer, good company and the belief that there's always room for one more at the table.

Since 2016, we've been brewing beer with pure mountain water, plenty of character and a healthy dose of Limpopo spirit.

Magoebaskloof has always been our home. It's a place of winding mountain roads, river swims, trout fishing, long hikes and afternoons that have a habit of turning into evenings.

It's this place, and the people who make it what it is, that inspire everything we brew.

Our Lager was named South Africa's Best Light Beer in 2019, and our Weekend Special took home Best Beer in the Country in 2022.

But awards aside, what matters most to us is making beer worth getting together for. Beer that's locally owned, thoughtfully brewed and best enjoyed with a few good people.

So take the scenic route. Bring your friends. Stay a little longer than you planned.
